Blue Ridge Adventure Medicine has partnered with West Virginia University, Wake Forest University, and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine to host the annual South Eastern Student Wilderness Medicine Conferences! These conference will provide both didactic and hands-on opportunities to build your knowledge on how to manage common emergencies in austere environments and improvise with limited resources.
Nationally renowned healthcare providers with careers focused in wilderness medicine will host sessions ranging from cave/confined space rescues, wilderness toxicology/envenomations, WEMS medical command, ultrasound, hypothermia, ropes, patient packaging, medical kits, and suture workshops.
